VALUE CHAIN ANALYSIS
EFURIBE MORTGAGE BANK

This is an
analytical model used by Business Analysts to identify ways in which an organization
can create value to customers or to the business process. This also helps
individuals/departments to think through how they can maximize this value to
the customer/business process i.e. superb products/Jobs done properly.
Value chain
analysis has got 3 steps.
1. Activity Analysis: The BA identifies the activities in a process that is required to
deliver a value to the customer.
2. Value Analysis:
Now, for each activity identified; a list of the ‘Value Factors’ that actually
adds value to the customer/process is recorded. The BA at this stage should
review the expected output for that particular activity in the process; making
sure things are done the right way.
3. Evaluation and Planning: After the value analysis has been conducted by the BA. The
BA will now recommend improved ways of delivering value to the customer/process
